The Dime Bots are investigating the genre of science fiction in dime novels. Americans in the turn of the 20th century explored the first steps into a fantasy realm of inventions and lost societies. Our mission is to evaluate the presence of technology during the popularity in the dime novel era. The science fiction dime novels sparked the interest of exploration and invention by imagining other worlds and possibilities beyond their current standards of technology. Some of the proposed technology in these fiction novels inspired future research and development in science. Dime novels from the 1860's-1920's led to the rise of modern science fiction.
